The spiritual life of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church centers around
something called the “Divine Service.” This takes place each Sunday and is the chief
point of contact with the gifts God seeks to bestow upon us. The focus of the Sunday
service, then, is not mainly on what we give to God, but on what He gives to us through
what are called His Gospel (Good News) and Sacraments

(His Holy Things: Baptism, Forgiveness, the Lord's Supper).
What we do there is simply done in response to what God does for us.
